건물에서 발생하는 음향적 문제는 실내음환경(room acoustics)적 관점과 소음진동(noise and vibration)의 관점으로 나눌 수 있는데, 두가지 모두를 대상으로 하여 제어하는 음향분야가 빌딩어코스틱(building acoustics) 입니다.

국내의 기존 음향설계사들은 실내음향과 소음진동을 별도의 분야로 특화하여 활동하고 있는데, 최근 건축물의 고층화, 경량화, 대형화, 단순화의 영향으로 인해 두가지 모두를 다루지 않으면 쾌적한 음환경을 만족할 수 없게 되었습니다. 따라서 SOUL은 음향설계의 국제적 추세인 빌딩어코스틱(building acoustics) 설계/컨설팅 을 실시하여 음향분야의 새로운 시작을 개척하고 있습니다.

Acoustical problems from internal building are divided into room acoustics and noise/vibration. Building acoustics is a field of control these noise/vibration in rooms.
